£450? They’ve got to be joking. For that price would have expected more than a measly 1GB RAM, a Core Solo processor instead of the Atom, and also a free blow-job. No way is it worth the money. Wasted my time waiting for this one to come out – going to go for the 1005-H now.

The main benifit with the N510 is that it is supposed to have built in 3G, mobile broadband, as we call it in Sweden. However, I could not see that in the spec above. Could anyone confirm if it is included or not?

q 4 Spencer : tell me please mate , where did u find Q210 with 4gb ram , 500gb hard and blue-ray for 450quids? all I can see from different websites is a model with 3gb , 250gb , no blue-ray for nearly 500quids! if there realy is anything like you say , I’m definitely going for it!cheers!

I’m going for it. I dont need/want a 15.4 laptop to lug around. I was close to pulling the gun on Asus 1005HA, but the fact that it cant play HD videos correctly and that its pretty much got the same specs as the others have put me off. Of course if the Lenovo S12 releases around the same time frame, I’ll have to check out reviews for both and see who comes out on top. The fact that Ion based netbooks can play recent games is just icing on the cake; I’m not much of a gamer but its nice to know that I have that option as well. Also I think this Samsung has higher resolution over the Lenovo which is a plus. This will be the first computer that is actually mine too!

I could get a 12.1″ Samsung Q210 for £450 with 4GB ram and a 500GB hdd with blue ray drive and nvidia graphics..not to mention dual core.

The only thing going for this will be Ion graphics (which imo think is overrated) and battery life..but apart from that, It’s not much to compete against when you look at something like an Inspiron or a Q210

Yes you could Spencer, but Netbooks aren’t just about price. They are about portability, size, weight, and also battery life.

The Ion netbooks are more of a niche, the price will put many people off.

This netbook will rock Windows 7 very well, I wonder if Samsung will offer a free upgrade to Win 7? Guess not.
