Acer Aspire One 752 announced: 11.6-inch CULV ultra-thin

March 3, 2010 at 5:43 pm

Acer Aspire One 752Acer has revealed the Aspire One 752 ultra-thin notebook. The Aspire One 752 is the update to the AAO 751 and as you can guess by the minor model change, there’s not too much different. The AAO 752 is an 11.6-inch (1366 x 768) ultra-thin device powered by the Intel Celeron 743 ULV processor, GS45 Express Chipset and GMA 4500MHD graphics. It will support up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM and a 320GB HDD.

It certainly lives up to its ‘ultra-thin’ category name, measuring just 22m in thickness and weighing 1.40kg. It comes with a full-size Acer FineTip keyboard and multi-gesture touchpad. You’ll also find a HDMI and VGA/LAN ports that are placed in the back corners of the body. Other features include Wi-Fi, webcam, Dolby-optimised audio and optional Bluetooth 2.1/integrated 3G. The battery is quoted to last for around 5 hours.

The AAO 752 will be available in four colours (Diamond Black, Ruby Red, Seashell White and Sapphire Blue) when it releases. There is no pricing or availability details right now.

Update: Notebook Italia has a hands-on video of the Aspire One 752 that you can check out below.

Yeah…We are all shocked…Hmmmm….They give us this big 11.6 inch screen, and give it the wimpiest graphics accelerator…Now they gonna make some changes, after everybody who bought one got taken. The 11 inch screen is basically USELESS with the current graphics chip…But hey…the name sounded promising:

SUPER DOOPER GMA 500!!!!!! HD Accelerated!

I watch tv (hulu) on my D250 (Aspire One) and the picture is perfect….Problem is, its to small. so I went and got the 11’6 inch model, and its jerkier than hard core drunk who lost his wallet. The Asian business men are catching on…Taken strait from the Bill Gates Vista (Charge em to test it, then make real changes to errors we made and charge em again…More!) Acer is simply off the shelf for me after this one. They can add a two bay toaster for all I care, Im finished takin it.

The good news…The AO751-1116 (Their top of the line model) Looks great sitting there unused on my office desk…It impresses people…While simultaneously doubling as a paper weight. I expect nothing better from them in the future.
