Synaptics ClearPad 3000 touchscreenSynaptics has unveiled a new line-up of touchscreen platforms for phones, PMPs and UMPC devices. The company is known for providing the touchpad technology in many of today’s netbooks. The new touchscreen platform has been nicknamed ‘Clearpad’ and comes in three different series (1000, 2000 and 3000).

The most expensive touchscreen is the Clearpad 3000 which features 48 sensing channels along with focused power management so that battery life doesn’t get drained too quickly. This particular screen will come in sizes up to 8-inches and will support up to 10 finger multi-touch. This particular screen is targeted for social handheld gaming and navigation devices. Read more
