Viliv S10 BladeThe Viliv S10 Blade convertible netbook is now shipping over at Dynamism. Prices start at $699, however if you’re after the 1.6GHz / 64GB SSD version you can get a free spare battery (worth $110) and an instant rebate of $70. Other configurations will be released over the next couple of weeks.

The Viliv S10 Blade is a 10.1-inch convertible netbook that comes with a high resolution 1366 x 768 display, 10-hour battery, 1GB RAM and an Intel Silverthorne processor (either a 1.6GHz Z530 or 2.0GHz Z550). It will be sold in various configurations, including options for XP or Windows 7 as well as HDD/SDD choices.

Viliv S10 Blade delayed until May

Viliv S10 BladeThe Viliv’s 10-inch convertible netbook, the S10 Blade, has been delayed from its original April 22 ship date. Depending on which model you ordered, it will not ship until April 27 for the 1.33GHz Z530 Atom variants and May 10 for the 2.0GHz Atom Z550 Atom models.

The entry-level model with a standard 60GB HDD and Windows XP will ship on May 7, whilst the 32GB SSD model will ship on May 5. Reasons for the delay haven’t been made clear, although importer Dynamism has told one customer that it has been “delayed by the factory”.

Viliv S10 Blade unboxed and video impressions

Viliv S10 BladeThe Viliv S10 Blade convertible netbook recently saw pre-orders open and whilst we wait for the device to ship, Chippy from UMPC Portal has received a final pre-production sample and given a video walkthrough of the device.

As such there’s no formal retail packaging, so it’s not a traditional unboxing video par se. Initial impressions are that the S10 has good build quality, a fast SSD and very good 3G reception. He suggests turning off Windows Aero as it seriously affects the performance of the netbook. Check out the video below. Read more

Viliv S10 BladeYesterday, we brought you pre-order details of the 10-inch Viliv S10 Blade convertible netbook. Only the entry level model was priced ($699), leaving us to speculate on pricing for the more expensive configurations.

An enterprising UMPC Portal reader searching Froogle has managed to get pricing for all configurations. As expected, pricing isn’t cheap, with the high end model coming in at $1,079. This will get you a 2.0GHz processor, 64GB SSD, Windows 7 and a HSPA modem. Click through for the full spec list. Read more

Dynamism has put up its pre-order page for the S10 Blade and it looks like it won’t come cheap. Only pricing for the entry-level model (XP; 60GB HDD) is up, costing $699. Considering the alternatives (Gigabyte TouchNote and upcoming Asus Eee PC T101MT), the high price may push people to the competition. Read more

Viliv S10 BladeWe first caught eyes on Viliv’s S10 Blade back in September. The S10 Blade is a 10.1-inch convertible netbook that comes with a 1366 x 768 display and is powered by a Silverthorne Intel processor (either a 1.6GHz Z530 or 2.0GHz Z550). It comes with various SSD storage options, 1GB RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Battery life is pretty good, quoted at 10 hours or 7 hours with movie playback. It has now been officially announced at CES with a full spec sheet, but pricing details are still missing. We’ll bring you more details as we have them. Check out the spec-sheet after the jump.

Viliv S10 convertible netbook sports 10hr battery & Windows 7 [Video]

Viliv, the Korean manufacturer normally known for its MIDs, is showing off a new netbook at IDF (Intel Developer Forum) 2009. The S10 Blade is a convertible 10-inch touchscreen netbook that will ship with a 10-hour battery and launch with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Impressively, the Viliv S10 has a high-resolution (1366 x 768) display and the high-capacity battery will sit flush with the chassis. There’s no multi-touch on this model though as it will ship with a resistive screen. It will be powered by either a 1.33GHz or forthcoming 2.0GHz processor, 1GB RAM and either a 32 or 64GB SSD. The SanDisk SSDs won’t be performance models, running with 70MBps read rates.

It will also have optional 3G. The Viliv S10 is due out by the end of this year and available in a number of configurations starting from $499. We’ve attached a number of hands-on videos of the device after the break. Read more
