Hannspree HANNSnote SN10E1 reviewed – great value for money

August 3, 2009 at 7:36 pm

Hannspree HANNSnote SN10E1Hannspree’s Hannsnote 10-inch netbook is basically a rebadged MSI Wind. The Hannsnote SN10E1 netbook has been on sale for the past couple of months in the UK for £259.99 and seems to offer good value for money, despite its generic specifications. For this money, it offers features found in more premium models including a wireless draft-N, Bluetooth and a 6-cell battery good for around 5 hours.

TrustedReviews has put the HANNSnote through its paces and scored it well (8/10) mainly due to its value offering and ‘premium’ features outlined above. Given that Misco.co.uk are offering £30 cashback until the end of August, this makes the HANNSnote an even more compelling offering at £230. This puts it a significant discount to the likes of the Asus Eee PC 1000HE at £290 that has a better keyboard and touchpad. Check out the key review points after the jump. Read more

June 8, 2009 at 5:29 pm

Hannspree HANNSnote netbookHannspree’s Hannsnote SN10E1 netbook is now on sale in the UK for £259.99. Hannspree, normally known for its LCD monitors, has released the Hannsnote which appears to be a rebadged MSI Wind. Whilst the Hannsnote doesn’t step away from the netbook mould too much, it does offer features found in more premium models. This includes a ‘full-sized’ keyboard, wireless draft-N, Bluetooth and a 6-cell battery good for 5 hours.

Apart from that, this is your typical 10-inch (1024 x 600) netbook running on a 1.6GHz N270 Atom CPU with 1GB RAM and a 160GB HDD. It also features a multi-card reader, three USB ports and a 1.3MP webcam. The whole package weighs a reasonable 1.2kg too (I assume this includes the 6-cell battery). The netbooks come in glossy piano black and ice white colours and is available now from Misco.

HANNspree HANNSnoteHANNspree, traditionally known for its LCD monitors, is to enter the netbook segment with the HANNSnote netbook. Whilst HANNspree notes that the netbook segment is “highly competitive” it feels that it can differentiate itself with its range of designer netbooks.

The 10-inch (1024 x 600) HANNsnote appears to be a rebadged MSI Wind and the specifications you’ll find are the usual 1.6GHz N270 Atom CPU, 1GB RAM and 160GB HDD. However, it will feature a full-sized keyboard as well as Wi-Fi (b/g/n), a 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth and three USB ports.

The HANNSnote will also include a 6-cell battery and weigh just 1.2kg. It will launch in the UK in June for an estimated £289 in glossy piano black and glossy ice white. Check out some pictures after the jump. Read more
