LG X140 netbook gets official

The LG X140 recently passed through the FCC and now it has been officially announced. It is a 10.1-inch (1366 x 768) slim netbook that will be powered by a 1.66GHz N450 or 1.83GHz N470 Atom processor, 1GB RAM a 250GB/320GB HDD and Windows 7 Starter.
The company is touting its LG Smart POP application as a differentiating feature. This basically brings five functions to the home screen including file transfer, dial functions for SMS and Outlook sync functionality with a mobile phone. As with other LG netbooks it will also come with the Smart On 2.0 instant-on OS and should boot up within 5-seconds claim the company. Read more
LG X140 passes through FCC, specs revealed

The LG X140 netbook was recently spotted in the wild along with some preliminary specs, however it has now passed through the FCC revealing much beefier hardware. According to the pictures, the LG X140 will sport a 10.1-inch HD display powered by a 1.83GHz N470 Atom processor, 2GB RAM and 320GB HDD.
Other features include a 9-cell battery, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth and Windows 7 Starter. No availability or price details right now but it can’t be too long now before we start to hear something official. Read more
LG X140 Pine Trail netbook caught on camera

It looks like LG will have another Pine Trail netbook to sit alongside the LG X200 that sports a high-resolution display. The LG X140 has been spotted and looks like it will be the company’s entry level netbook offering.
As such, the specs are nothing special and include a 1.66Ghz N450 Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Windows 7 Starter and a 6-cell battery. It will feature a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (b/g/n) and a 1.3MP webcam. A sim card slot also suggests that optional 3G will be on the cards.
